I’m Michelle!
I started blogging back in the heyday of 2011, when I was freshly graduated from college & newly married. It helped me cope with the whiplash of leaving my North Carolina college days on the beach for working in corporate America in the midwest.
Now, over a decade later, I'm a stay at home, homeschooling mom of little girls. I'm frequently found behind a piano or a book. My deepest passions in life are the gospel, nature, music, strong coffee, used bookstores, and memes. The weirder, the better.
As someone who grew up always wanting to fit in, I’ve been pushing myself further and further away from culture and everything it stands for. I started 2024 with deactivated social media accounts, and it’s made me think about all the ways I want to live differently.
I’ve felt the conviction to retrain my internet-brain and start reading and writing more long-form content again and fewer quippy captions. To start thinking deeply and not in meme-format anymore (but memes are still life!).
I’m excited to be here, to put my creative energies into writing again.
Photo from our winter hike this week. Snowy hikes are now a favorite thing.

This resonates with me. Blessings to you and yours!
